Jane Lightfoot is a Lawyer in WG&M’s Bairnsdale office. Jane practices in the areas of Commercial Litigation, Wills and Estates, Employment Law, Criminal Law and Family Law.

Jane holds Bachelor’s degrees in Arts (Political Science) and Laws, and a Diploma of Music (Clarinet).

Throughout her career, Jane has worked across several political and government organisations. Jane worked gathering evidence and providing research to the Victorian Parliament’s Inquiry into the Impact of Public Land Management Practices on the 2007 Bushfires and the Inquiry into Melbourne’s Future Water Supply. This work sparked Jane’s interest in working in Communities, particularly on Environmental matters.

Upon moving to East Gippsland, Jane continued her work with local Communities at the East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority, where she Project Managed several different environmental studies and was involved in extensive Community consultations.

Jane also worked with East Gippsland Shire Council and has experience working in East Gippsland Communities in community development, communications and engagement.

Jane has lived in East Gippsland for over 10 years.

Jane enjoys tennis, running, music, art and spending time with her young family.

Jane is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV).
